Sapphire Curtains is a specialist manufacturing division of Don-Bur, based at Clarence Road in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. We support commercial vehicle operators, fleet managers, bodybuilders, trailer manufacturers and repairers throughout the UK.
Operating within the wider Don-Bur group gives Sapphire Curtains access to extensive commercial vehicle knowledge and experience. Our team combines in-house design and manufacturing capability with an understanding of the practical demands placed on curtains, load-restraint equipment and related products in daily transport operations.
Complementary fleet graphics expertise
Commercial vehicle curtains and fleet graphics are intrinsically linked, particularly where replacement curtains, new vehicle liveries or wider fleet rebranding programmes are concerned. Sapphire Curtains therefore works closely with Sapphire Graphics, the Don-Bur group’s dedicated commercial vehicle graphics and print division.
Sapphire Graphics provides specialist fleet branding services including digitally printed curtains, vehicle liveries, wraps, decals, safety markings and associated installation. This close relationship allows customers to coordinate curtain manufacture and graphics production while maintaining consistent colours, branding and presentation across their vehicles.
Both divisions remain focused on their respective areas of expertise while providing customers with access to complementary manufacturing, print and commercial vehicle knowledge.
Specialist in-house manufacturing
Our Stoke-on-Trent facility enables us to manufacture products around specific vehicle, load and operating requirements rather than relying solely on standard bought-in components. This provides the flexibility to support one-off requirements, replacement products and larger fleet programmes.
Our manufacturing capability covers straightforward rigid and semi-trailer applications as well as more complex vehicle configurations, including step-frame and lifting-deck double deck trailers.
Where curtains are intended for use within an EN 12642-XL body, they are manufactured to suit the requirements of the complete trailer structure. EN 12642-XL applies to the performance of the finished body rather than providing an independent certification for the curtain alone.
Part of the Don-Bur group
Sapphire Curtains continues to invest in its people, equipment and manufacturing processes to support consistent quality, responsive lead times and bespoke production capability. Recent investment includes automated curtain strapping equipment.
Our load-restraint straps are tested and certified in accordance with EN 12195-2. As part of the wider Don-Bur group, Sapphire Curtains also benefits from established commercial vehicle engineering, manufacturing and aftersales expertise.
