Anti-slash curtains are designed to help reduce opportunistic theft by incorporating a steel mesh within the curtain fabric to resist cutting. They are suitable for both curtainsider trailers and curtainsider rigid bodywork and can be supplied for new vehicles or as replacement curtains.
Depending on the application, anti-slash curtains are available with either a visible incorporated mesh or a panelled inner mesh that provides a less conspicuous appearance. The reinforced mesh is typically fitted to the most vulnerable areas of the curtain, extending from the lower edge to just above normal reach height where opportunistic attacks are most likely to occur.
Anti-slash curtains can be fitted to existing curtainsider bodywork as well as new builds. They can also be digitally printed to display fleet branding and graphics in the same way as conventional trailer curtains.
Because of the integrated steel mesh, anti-slash curtains are heavier and stiffer than standard curtains. This makes them more difficult to fold back at the front of the vehicle when opening, and this should be considered when selecting the most appropriate curtain specification for the intended operation.
